Random Cricket Photos Post 22
A lot of fathers see their kids embarrassing them in front of a lot of people and choose to just smile about it. Here, the exact opposite is happening.
In 2004, while taking the West Indies bowling attack to the cleaners at Edgbaston, Flintoff connected one and hit straight over the long on and into the stands.
In the stands, waiting for the ball, was Andrew's father, Colin. And Colin, someone who still played club cricket, spilled it. Worse, his drop landed in the lap of Flintoff's captain Michael Vaughan's lap, making things just a tad more awkward for the all-rounder's dad.
And that's what explains Flintoff's expression of, "What were you thinking, dad?" in this photo from that match.
Recalling the incident Freddie, who scored 167 that day with 7 sixes said, "He plays at the weekend and comes home every week telling me what a great catch he has taken."
"But I think he has now proved to everyone that he is terrible! I thought he was going to come over the balcony at one stage."
