Top effort by Kasprowicz even though it went for a six eventually. Something similar was the case in 1968 as well when Roger Davis held on to a brilliant catch at long off. But thanks to the new rules that year, his effort would only go down in the history as a mere footnote in someone else's feat of brilliance.

According to the change in rules, from the 1968 season onwards, balls that were taken over the boundary fence by a fielder were to be given as runs. As a result Davis' effort went in vain as the catch was disallowed to give a six to the batsman. And that's how on 31st August 1968, Gary Sobers got the fifth of his six sixes off Malcolm Nash to become the first cricketer to hit six sixes in an over in First Class cricket.

Poor Malcolm Nash.
